      <image:caption>O meu nome é Diana e sou Psicóloga Clínica, com 14 anos de experiência em psicoterapia cognitivo-comportamental e terapias de 3ª geração, em adolescentes e adultos com diferentes tipos de perturbações psicológicas. Criei e coordenei durante 5 anos, também, um programa de reabilitação psicossocial direcionado a pessoas com doença mental grave. Descobri o Mindfulness há cerca de oito anos atrás, sendo praticante regular desde essa data. Os benefícios que encontrei depressa me motivaram a desenvolver a minha prática e a investir na minha formação e certificação para poder levar o Mindfulness a outras pessoas. Tornei-me, por isso, Instrutora de Mindfulness qualificada pelo Mindfulness based Professional Training Institute – Center for Mindfulness of the University of California – San Diego. De momento, divido o meu tempo entre a prática clínica privada, como Psicóloga Clínica e o meu trabalho como Instrutora de Mindfulness na orientação de workshops, sessões e programas individuais, em grupo e direcionados a organizações.       <image:caption>Alguma vez repararam que quando estamos a fazer uma tarefa rotineira e repetitiva, como conduzir para o trabalho ou aspirar a casa, a nossa mente está frequentemente a quilómetros de distância do que estamos a fazer, a pensar noutra coisa qualquer? Podemos chegar ao nosso destino, sem nos darmos conta do caminho que fizemos até lá. A nossa mente pode estar a fantasiar com as próximas férias, ou a preocupar-se com alguma tarefa que temos para fazer no trabalho, ou a divagar sobre tantos outros assuntos. Em qualquer um dos casos, não estamos plenamente presentes na experiência que estamos a ter. A este modo de funcionamento podemos chamar de piloto automático. O piloto automático é fundamental para a nossa sobrevivência! Imaginem o que seria ter que pensar e planear cada movimento do corpo para subir umas escadas, ou para lavar a louça. Se não automatizássemos tarefas e rotinas, dificilmente seríamos capazes de chegar ao trabalho a horas, ou de nos adaptarmos às exigências deste mundo.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Imaginem fazer um passeio com uma criança pequena, e imagem sentir o mundo como ela sente, andando devagar, observando as coisas pela primeira vez, parando frequentemente, vendo o extraordinário nos objetos mais simples. Essa seria uma experiência de estar plenamente presente, ou, por outras palavras, estar mindfulness. Todos nós já tivemos momentos mindfulness, quando na natação, sentimos o movimento da nossa respiração, e cada batimento cardíaco, e as sensações provocadas pela textura da água em contacto da nossa pele; ou quando parámos para observar um pôr do sol, e observámos as diferentes tonalidades que se espelham no céu, e sentimos a brisa do ar na nossa pele, ou o perfume do canteiro de flores ao nosso lado. Nestes momentos estamos no “aqui e agora”… estamos com todo o nosso corpo, a explorar todas as sensações. E quando estamos “aqui e agora” não estamos presos em ruminações sobre o trabalho que entregámos ontem, nem em preocupações sobre o amanhã… Ou seja, estamos no presente, e não estamos nem no passado, nem no futuro.</image:caption>
